2020 Albright Community Thanksgiving Dinner

The 46th Annual Albright Thanksgiving Eve Dinner

Keeping an Important Holiday Tradition Alive

For the past 46 years, the Albright congregation has hosted a FREE Community Thanksgiving-Eve Dinner. The dinner was started as a Boy Scout project and has continued each year since. This Thanksgiving-Eve dinner is more than just making sure everyone has some turkey and stuffing to eat…it is an opportunity to bring together neighbors, from all over the city, to celebrate traditions and support the community.

DUE to COVID-19, this year, takeout dinners will be distributed outdoors. Many thanks to our friends at Big Burrito Inc. who will be preparing the meal this year.

Date: The 46th Annual Albright Community Thanksgiving-Eve Dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Time: Meals will be distributed from 3-5 PM.

Location: Outside of the Albright Church Building, located at the corner of Centre and S. Graham Streets in the Bloomfield neighborhood of the East End of Pittsburgh.

Meals will be handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Here is how you can help:

Due to COVID-19, we will NOT be able to have volunteers prepare or serve the meals this year.

Donate:

Volunteers:

Thank you to everyone over the years who have helped make this dinner a success! For the health and safety of everyone, we are minimizing the number of people who are distributing food. Instead, we ask that you please consider making a small donation to help support the efforts around this annual tradition. We thank you for your interest, long time support and we look forward to seeing you in person next year.

  1. Will people be able to stay in their cars to pick up the meals?
Will distribution be on the S. Graham side of the church?
Will you accept donations at the time of pick up?
Thanks to everyone who is making this possible.

    1. Hello! We are still working out the distribution location. It will be clearly marked. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. If you are not able to get out of your car, we will work something out. No need to make a donation at the time of pick up. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
