The Albright Thanksgiving Eve Dinner was founded by Boy Scout Troop 88, which met at the Albright United Methodist Church. The troop, led by Charlie Klemz, was unique in that its participants were all boys with special needs. Charlie, a member of the church congregation and a long-time cook at Ritters Diner, played a pivotal role in establishing this tradition.
Over the years, the congregation continued the dinner, and local neighbors have joined to keep this cherished community event alive.
